"The Brown Recluse" by Earl Stubbs / Dick Rothwell
Earl Stubbs, PSMGA member with a Poster of the cover of his book. ($14.00 ... signed with a note to buyer)
Reviews: 1. WKSpence@Spenc.com writes: Earl Stubbs develops a compelling plot involving protagonists from China, Iran, France, Israel, England and the US. The central episode begins when top level Chinese generals cut a deal with Iran that involves the illegal movement of an oil tanker containing two million barrels of crude. To get the deal done, the connections of an oilman from Texas are required. Israeli Mossad agents show up unexpectedly due to the nature of the Chinese-Iranian transaction. Just about the time you think you have the next move figured out, the plot takes another twist.
Each character is developed in an unusual, but very effective, first person narrative. These narratives provide interesting episodes within the main story line, giving insight into the personality and reason that each actor is involved in the plot.
It's an interesting and often suspenseful read from beginning to end.
The central story has plausibility -- something like this could be happening right now.
