New Member Qualifications and Information

Membership – Open to male amateur golfers age 55 and older. PGA professionals may join if their PGA status permits them to play in amateur tournaments. The membership application has additional details.

Dues - Annual dues $20, renewals $20.

Handicaps - Outside handicaps are not accepted. New members must play 3 rounds in a Callaway flight, separate from the other tournament participants. A PSMGA officer will be in your group, if possible, to introduce you to the course, the local rules, and the organization. After 3 rounds, your handicap can be computed and you will be put into a group with others of similar handicaps.

Green Fees (Include Golf Cart) - Prevailing senior rates apply. Pecan Hollow offers a multiple round ‘punch’ card at a discount. Carts are required to help expedite play.

Tournaments – Two per week all year, weather permitting, major holidays excluded. See the complete schedule on this website. Weekly newsletter also has next 4 tournaments listed.

  • Monday – Silver Tees; Thursday - Gold Tees. For clarification, evryone plays silver tees on Monday, and everyone plays gold tees on Thursday.ed; NO intermingling of tee boxes.

  • Start times 7:30 AM to 9:00 AM, depending on time of year.

  • Shotgun starts with groups composed of players with similar handicaps.

  • USGA Rules apply except as amended by local and PSMGA special rules.

  • Sign up links are on the PSMGA home page, deadlines to sign up are identified for each tournament.

Prizes - Entry fee is $6.00, paid in cash to Pecan Hollow staff at check-in for play.

  • Tournament payouts are credited to members’ accounts.

  • Members can request all or any portion of their account balance ($10.00 minimum, unless resigning membership) at any time via email to the Treasurer.

  • When member accounts exceed $200, a $200 check will automatically be given at the next payday.

  • Checks are usually delivered the first Monday of each month at the Optional Games table.

  • Closest to Pin (CTP) - entry fee is $4.00 (4 par 3s). CTP winners are paid in cash after the round.

  • Hole in One (HIO) - entry fee is $1.00. HIO winner is paid by check the next week.

Officers - President, VP-Operations, Secretary, Treasurer, and Webmaster. Elections are held each Fall with staggered 2-year terms for offices. Collectively, the five officers comprise the Executive Board.

Volunteers – The optional games table is run by volunteers; everyone will be asked to help out.

Newsletter – Sent to your email address weekly showing your member account balance, next tournament dates, and links to other items of interest on the PSMGA website.
